My name is Jenny Hallett and I have lived in Surrey all my life and have been writing personalised poetry since I was a child.
As time went on, when it was a friend’s birthday or anniversary, I would write them a totally personalised poem. I would reminisce about how we had first met and refer to the times we had shared together. I would then read it out aloud at their celebration and following on from that, present a decorated copy of the poem to them as a gift.
I discovered that my poems proved to be very much appreciated and, of course, were very different from the other presents my friends had been given.
In 2008 I was encouraged by my family to enter a Poetry Competition and was delighted when I was awarded 3rd place out of over 5,000 entrants in a poetic marketing competition run by AOL.
In 2011, the opportunity arose for me to set up my own business and so ‘Poetic Justice OnLine’ was born.
I am passionate about my work and think myself lucky that I really enjoy what I do.
